SSAC Southgate Lions vs MLAC Scott Pump

AEHL U15

November 11, 2020

SSAC Southgate Lions:

#17 Jake Sokoloski (Center)– Jake played a well-rounded game centring Carson Devlin and Luke Powell, picking up an assist in the process. Jake supported the play well in his own zone and also demonstrated his willingness to backcheck. Jake also forechecked well.

#8 Luke Powell (Left Winger)- As a ’07 birthday and standing 5’2, Luke did shy away from contact against MLAC’s bigger defence core.  Luke did, however, have a good game. Luke’s a decent skater and had a few good spurts throughout the game including the tying goal late in the third.

MLAC Scott Pump:

#4 Nic Thiesen (Defensemen)- Nic had a solid game overall, making the smart plays both in his own end and in the offensive zone. Nic is a decent skater who is willing to step up at the blueline to make a play as he did on the opening goal. One area Nic could improve on is his play in front of his own net by being a little more physically engaging with opponents in front of the net.

#20 Michael Ferraro (Defensemen)- Micheal is a very good skater who likes to jump up in the play. Michael had good gap control and was able to chase down an opponent on a breakaway without taking a penalty. Michael got his shots through and on net on a consistent basis, with one being the crucial reason behind MLAC’s second goal of the game. Michael registered an assist on MLAC’s third goal.
