Raiden Zacharias

NAME: Raiden Zacharias

TEAM: Saskatoon Generals (SAAHL U15)

HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5’7 157lbs

POSITION: Forward

HAND: Right

November 15th, 2020 vs Prince Albert Pirates – Has a quick release and nice hard shot.  Showed good accuracy in scoring the first goal in tight to the goal and could’ve had a chance at a 2nd in the opening frame if he drove the net.  He doesn’t seem as interested when he’s away from the puck, but shows good imagination when in possession.  Nice creativity in trying to create chances, shows nice patience with the puck and has really nice hands.  He is a threat every time he has the puck in the attacking zone and ended up with 5 goals in the game. (Darryl Martin)

November 7th, 2020 vs Northeast Wolfpack – When he was on his game Zacharius was very dangerous and did a good job creating chances for both himself and teammates. Has a very dangerous shot and hit the post on a great release. When he wanted to played a good 200 foot game and made it tough on his opponents to generate much. Needs to play more consistently though as with how talented he is he should stand out whenever he’s on the ice instead of having to look for him for large chunks of periods. Did get better as the game went on which is positive. (Nathan Chapman)

November 7th, 2020 vs Northeast Wolfpack – Raiden has great stickhandling abilities. When he has multiple defenders on him he has the ability to shake them using his agility. His skating is good and he creates a lot of scoring chances. Needs to create more pressure on forechecks, in this game he struggled with that. (Tyler Thode)

October 24th vs Saskatoon Stallions – Zacharias is a good skater, has great speed but needs to work on lateral skating. He showed a lot of offense last season but in my first look at him this year he is showing more defensive awareness and did a good job on the penalty kill. (Tyler Thode)
