October 31st, 2020: The best player in this game and probably right now in my opinion the best 2006 forward in CSSHL. I know it’s only one game but this kid is impressive. His hockey IQ is through the roof and he has the skill to match it. Every time he was on the ice he made the difference to keep a Delta team that does not match up on paper against BWC, looking like they could win. WHL Draft teams take notice! August 4th, 2021 @ Team Alberta Tryouts: Gavin Garland is a sensible and intelligent hockey player. He plays a solid physical style with a good work ethic to battle and compete for the puck. Once the puck is on his stick it only leaves when he wants it too. Garland’s head is constantly up and anticipating where the next play comes from. Offensively, he drives the attack and has a great shot to go with it. His skating is also at a top level. My one fault would be that he seemed to play down a level sometimes and would blend in a little too – Liam Horrobin
